IN EsofWIN, EsofLAN, OnTime and OnTime Plus systems, multiple units of controllers are connected together to a communicator, before going to a PC. The function of the communicator is firstly to convert the multi-drop interface (used by the controllers) to RS232 (used by PC). ELID multi-drop bus allows controllers to be located up to 1 km away, and has high tolerance to interference and transient surges. Most communicators are also provided with a slot for inserting software key, which is required to run ELID software.

EL70BS is a single bus Multi-drop to RS232 interface converter, allowing PC to be linked to 16 controllers. EL70BS is designed to support ELID software key.
